About Shruti Sadhana
Shruti Sadhana is a dedicated spiritual learning platform designed to help devotees learn, practice, and memorize sacred Sanskrit stotrams through traditional oral transmission (Shruti), verse by verse, guided by authentic Sanskrit gurus.
Shruti Sadhana is crafted for complete beginners learning their first Sanskrit stotram, regular practitioners refining their chanting meter, and devotees seeking a structured daily sadhana discipline.
No. Shruti Sadhana supports your daily practice and pronunciation accuracy under the recorded guidance of authentic scholars like Guru Kusum Shree. It is not a substitute for traditional Guru-shishya initiation (diksha) or individualized spiritual direction.
Devotees often struggle with complex Sanskrit conjuncts, lack structured daily plans, or find passive YouTube chanting inadequate for active memorization. Shruti Sadhana was built to bridge this gap with interactive repeat-along practice that respects traditional phonetics.
Learning Experience
Yes. Each shloka is broken down into half-lines (padas) with slow, deliberate pronunciation, making it welcoming for complete beginners who have never chanted Sanskrit before.
The learning journey follows a proven three-stage framework:
Learn: Listen attentively to the Guru chanting each verse.
Practice: Chant during guided pause intervals and optionally record
yourself.
Sadhana: Build an unbroken daily streak toward complete memorization.
Yes. There are no rigid timetables. You can learn 1 to 2 verses per day or progress faster according to your schedule and comfort level.

Yes. The app records your completed verses, tracks your daily sadhana commitments, and maintains your streak count to encourage lifelong devotional consistency.
Pronunciation & Audio
No. Prior knowledge of Sanskrit grammar or script is not required. The guided audio and phonetic transliteration allow anyone to chant accurately.
In Vedic and Stotram traditions, precise sound vibrations (Shabda Brahma), vowel lengths, and aspiration create the spiritual efficacy of the hymn. Shruti Sadhana trains your ear to master these nuances effortlessly.
The app displays sacred verses in classical Devanagari script as well as standardized English Transliteration (IAST) with diacritical marks. The app interface can be switched between English and हिनà¥à¤¦à¥€ (Hindi).
Your practice recordings stay 100% private on your own device inside the phone's secure application storage. They are never uploaded to any cloud server, never analyzed, and never shared with anyone.
The app provides dual modes: Learn Mode (continuous listening to absorb meter, melody, and flow) and Practice Mode (repeat-along with timed pauses for chanting after the Guru and recording your recitation).
