Shruti Sadhana (“we”, “our”, or “us”), developed by Spandara Labs, provides a spiritual Sanskrit stotram learning and practice platform through our Android mobile application and public website at shrutisadhana.com.

We regard spiritual practice (*sadhana*) as sacred. We are committed to transparency and to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored, and your rights regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide an authentic, personalized learning journey:

A. Account Information (Google Sign-In)

When you sign in using your Google account via Firebase Authentication, we receive basic profile information provided by Google:

• Your full name (display name)
• Your email address
• Your Google profile photo URL (optional)
• A unique, secure Firebase User Identifier (UID)

This information is used strictly to establish your devotee account, track your personal learning journey across sessions, and save your preferences.

B. Learning & Progress Data

To help you maintain consistent practice, our servers store your learning commitments, completed shlokas, and daily sadhana streaks.

C. App Settings

We store your chosen script preferences (such as Devanagari or English Transliteration) and interface language (English or Hindi).

3. Microphone & Voice Recordings: 100% On-Device

• All voice recordings remain strictly on your local device.
• Your recordings are saved to your phone’s internal application sandbox.
• Recordings are NEVER uploaded to our servers, never sent to the cloud, and never shared with any third party.
• You can listen to or delete your local recordings at any time inside the app. Uninstalling the app permanently purges all local recordings from your device.

4. Analytics, Crash Reporting & Notifications

To ensure app reliability, performance, and stability, the app uses trusted third-party SDKs:

• Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): Collects anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (such as session counts, script preference selections, and general navigation flow) without logging personally identifiable information.
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC): Captures anonymous crash traces and technical diagnostic logs in release builds to help our engineering team identify and fix app errors quickly.
• Local Notifications: The app requests permission to schedule practice reminders (POST_NOTIFICATIONS). These notifications are generated locally on your device based on your chosen sadhana reminder schedule.

5. Advertising

The mobile application integrates Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to support the ongoing availability of authentic Sanskrit chanting content. AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous device identifiers and app usage signals in accordance with Google’s Advertising Policies. During the current pilot release, Sri Lalita Sahasranama is offered completely free of charge. In future releases, users with an active course entitlement or ad-free option will receive an uninterrupted learning experience.

6. Account & Data Deletion Rights

In compliance with Google Play Store User Data policies, you have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time.

What gets deleted: Upon receiving your verified request, we permanently delete your user profile (name, email, photo URL), application settings, and all course progress records from our backend database within 30 calendar days. Local audio recordings on your phone are instantly removed whenever you uninstall the app or clear its storage.

7. Data Retention, Sharing & Security

We implement industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS in transit, encrypted databases at rest) to safeguard your account data.

• Zero Sale of Personal Data: We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information, profile data, or learning progress to third-party data brokers.
• Service Providers: Anonymous diagnostic telemetry and advertising identifiers are processed by Google LLC (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Mobile Ads) in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Local Audio Protection: Voice recordings captured during practice remain strictly in your local device sandbox and are never transmitted to our servers or third parties.
